Introduction
Vitamin D is a fat-soluble steroid hormone precursor that is produced mainly by the skin after exposure to light produced, itself has no biological activity. In the human body, vitamin D2 and Vitamin D3 with plasma medium vitamin biogenic D-binding proteins bind and are transported to the liver, where they are hydroxylated to become 25-hydroxy vitamin D. 25-hydroxy vitamin D is a metabolite that is detected in the blood, as it is in the body the main storage form of vitamin D, by testing it can determine the status of total vitamin D.
